Yāna is a medical tourism facilitator that helps individuals access high quality and safe health care internationally through coordination, research (e.g., facility research) and concierge services (e.g., building a custom travel plan). Yāna is not a medical service provider and does not provide diagnoses, second opinions, medical treatment or medical advice/recommendations.

Medical tourism is the practice of traveling to another country to obtain medical, dental, surgical, or specialized healthcare services, typically to access lower costs, shorter wait times, or specialized expertise not readily available at home. Recently, medical tourism is becoming more popular due to rising domestic healthcare costs, long wait times in public systems, and greater global transparency around hospital quality and outcomes.

Our highest priority is our client's safety. We demonstrate our commitment to safe and reliable travel by:  • Only working with JCI-accredited (https://www.jointcommission.org/en/accreditation)facilities, equivalent or better than American healthcare standards • Personally vetting global facilities to ensure it meets our clients needs through on-site visits and extensive virtual interviews • Reviewing doctor credentials and professional reputation • Assessing patient results and facility standards

Choosing care abroad can feel overwhelming, We can help you vet the right options for you. In addition to safety and quality considerations (See FAQ above), we collect research on a number of selection criteria that will help you make your decision on a global health care facility. Selection criteria can include (but is not limited to):  • Estimated cost of care  • Travel considerations (flight time, time zone, etc.)  • Financing and insurance coverage  • Wait times  • Hospitality and language barriers  • Other accreditations outside of JCI or awards/recognitions  • International patient process availability

Your comfort and safety are our priority, especially when traveling alone. We prioritize facilities where you can communicate clearly and feel fully supported.   If needed, Yāna can arrange translation services throughout your care and recovery. A dedicated Yāna representative can also accompany you in person for additional support (available at an additional cost).

Our top priority is helping you find quality care and so costs may be different for each individual. Our pricing is transparent once you start working with us and we do everything we can to make sure price isn't the reason you don't get care.

We can provide guidance on financing options, insurance, and payments. However, We do not directly provide personal financing and payments and are not an insurance provider.
